2021 OSMKKF US Regional Gasshuku
JWe're excited to once again be partnering with the Sharon Shriner's Hall, Staybridge Suites, and the City of Tyler to put together another amazing training opportunity. Join us June 11, 12, and 13 for three days of intensive training for all ranks and ages, to help polish away the rust that inevitably builds up after a year quarantined away from our training partners.
While neither Kaicho or Sonomi-san will be joining us for this training camp, we are hoping to have it well attended by not only the US federation directors, but a large portion of the senior instructors as well.
Online registration coming soon.
2019 OSMKKF Gasshuku
Kise Isao, Kaicho of the Okinawa Shorin-ryu Matsumura Karate and Kobudo federation returned to Tyler, Tx June 2019 for the yearly OSMKKF gasshuku, and a great time was had by all. We had nearly a full week of amazing karate training and fellowship with my fellow federation members from around the globe and can't wait to do it again.
Traditional Karate Tournament Returns!

Guro Parra JKD/Kali seminar
Wow, what a weekend! A dozen people poured their hearts out on the floor, struggling at times, to keep up with the fast paced and ever exciting instructions of one of Texas's more advanced JKD/Silat practitioners. Tuhon Parra is always a pleasure to work with, and this weekend was no exception. But if you missed it, you can come by our Wed. night kali class and get a preview, so you're ready to jump right in next time we have him in town!
Women's Self-defense seminar
Eight people attended this fantastic seminar that had everyone smiling, working, sweating, and thinking by the time the morning was over. If you missed this one just stay tuned, we'll be having them more regularly now that we have our own space again!
GRAND OPENING / advanced workout Sept. 8th
We had 14 people (driving in from across three states!) join us on the floor, and several in support at the back of the room, for our new locations grand opening kickoff. It was an amazing day and we are immensly thankful for not only the outpouring of support for our new adventure, but for the hard work and dedication that was displayed both on and off the floor.
Domo areigato gozaimashita!
